From the desk of your Prefect

Last week the AeroPac BOD met in preparation for this years flying season. (these are notes from that meeting)

Steve Wigfield our new FAA Liaison has submitted or waiver request for this years season. He hopes to get our usual 8am-5pm standing 100K waiver again this year.

The club is doing well financially.

We have acquired a "membership card machine" and will be able to issue cards shortly.

We have our Equipment Cleaning Party coming up next Saturday at Steve's shop. Come see all the cool things Richard Hagen has done to our equipment this past winter and get your first taste of Playa dust for the year.

Peter Clay is taking the lead in representing AeroPac at Maker Faire on May 3-4. He can always use more help if you can lend a hand.

We are in contact with Sani-Hut trying to make arrangements to return the Big Jakes on Sunday instead of Monday. Hoping that this makes finding haulers easier. There will also be a raise in the money paid to haulers.

Jamie Clay has been kept busy adding several new pages and 'documents' to the AeroPac web page.

ARLISS is, as usual, attracting more fliers and more students. The BOD has put together and ARLISS committee to handle the day to day operations. The committee consists of Tom Rouse, Ken Biba and Becky Green. They met for the first time yesterday and we should see an announcement from them in the next few days. If you have interest in ARLISS, get on their e-mail list.

Build it and they will fly!
